Free Comic Book Day is Saturday, May 7th!

Once again Free Comic Book Day is upon us, and we here at Sterling Silver Comics invite you to enjoy the day with us! Your pal Mike has been running Free Comic Book Day events in Ventura County since it started 15 years ago, and I’m very proud to continue the tradition here at my own shop! We’ll have tons of comics to give away and plenty of special deals…it all starts at 11 AM on Saturday, May 7th, and runs ’til 7 PM (or maybe even later, depending on the crowds!)

Our special guest will be Jaime Hernandez of Love and Rockets fame, who will be appearing from 11 AM ’til 3 PM, signing the free Love and Rockets comic that will be available that day!

NEW! You can find the Facebook event page right here!

Hope to see you there!

Open regular business hours on Easter, mostly!

Hi, friends! Sterling Silver Comics will be open at least from 12 noon ’til 4 PM this Easter Sunday, March 27th. However, if things are busy enough, the store will stay open later, possibly even ’til the regular Sunday closing time of 6 PM if business warrants. I am only guaranteeing I’ll be around until 4 PM that day, however, so if you plan on arriving later, call ahead (805-484-4708) and make sure I’m still there!

Thank you, and enjoy your Easter!

Just arrived – a whole bunch of 1960s and 1970s comics!

oldcomics
It’s a whole lot of 12-centers to 25-centers, heavy on Marvel and DC (superhero, horror/mystery, and few romance comics tossed in), plus comics from other publishers at the time (including Charlton, Atlas, and Archie). Plenty of Superman, Batman, Spider-Man and other favorites are featured. They’re all in low-to-mid-range condition, which means they’re affordable! I’m still in the process of getting them all bagged and priced, but feel free to come in and poke through the stacks…if there’s anything that catches your eye, I’ll price it for you on the spot!

Dark Knight III #3 first printings back in stock!

dk3
First printings of Dark Knight III #3, the continuation of the legendary ongoing saga set into motion by Frank Miller, is now back in stock at Sterling Silver Comics! They are no longer available at the distributor level, and DC Comics has already announced second printings, so once these first prints are gone, they’re gone! Drop by the shop soon and get your gloved and powerful hands on them!

Recently acquired back issues!

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve acquired a large number of back issues that I’m processing and putting out for sale as quickly as I can manage. Just recently priced:

gk
A small collection of 1960s Gold Key comics, including several Disney comics (including Super Goof #1 and Junior Woodchucks #1), The Three Stooges, The Flintstones, and more!

Keep checking back as I continue to make my way through these boxes and boxes of goodies!
