Thanks to writer D.J. Kirkbride (pictured above, with customer Rob on the right!) for coming out to Sterling Silver Comics and signing copies of his new comic, The Biggest Bang #1, as well as copies of his Amelia Cole books! You can keep up with his future endeavors at his official site!

If you weren’t able to make it our for the signing, we still have signed copies of The Biggest Bang #1 available for sale!

An apology.

Due to an early morning dentist’s appointment taking far long than I planned, I ended up opening the store an hour late today. If you came by expecting me to be here, I apologize…I expected me to be here too! Usually I try to give advance warning or at least post a sign if for some reason I’m going to be late, but I didn’t know this was going to take so long. Again, my apologies to anyone who came by this morning…I’ll do my best not to let that happen again.

That’s Teddy…he came to Sterling Silver Comics on Free Comic Book Day, which was his very first trip to a comic book store. And he looks about as happy as I was at the great turnout we had Saturday. My first FCBD at this location was last year, and turned out to be much better than I expected…and this year’s outing was even more successful! Thank you to all of my great customers for making this a fun day for everyone!

Special thanks to our guest, Jaime Hernandez for appearing at the store to sign copies of the FCBD edtion of Love and Rockets. Here he is signing one for customer Eric:

Here’s a moment later in the day after things calmed down just a little…wish I could have taken one right after we opened and the store was packed full, but I just didn’t have the time!

Again, a big thanks to everyone who came out and participated in the event…I still have a few FCBD goodies left over, so in case you couldn’t make it that day, just drop on by and grab what I have left! See you at the shop!
