Rock City will be holding a benefit concert for the victims of the Borderline shooting on Friday, November 30th. While I will be open that day, the parking lot will be closed off for the event, which starts at 6 PM. There is plenty of other parking in the area, if you don’t mind talking a little walk to come to see! I’ll be there and open, honest!

So long to Stan Lee, one of the true legends of the comic book industry, a tireless spokesman for the medium we all love, and cocreator (with artistic giants like Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko) of some of the greatest comic books ever published. There was nobody else quite like him, and I doubt the business will ever see anyone like him ever again. It’s going to feel weird to live in a world without Stan telling us “Excelsior!”

Today is the fourth anniversary of the opening of Sterling Silver Comics! I recently made a long post tooting my own horn about my 30 years in the business, so rather than re-toot myself at length again, let me just thank all of you for the success of my store. Opening my own shop was something I’d been wanting to do for a long time, and it wouldn’t have gone anywhere if it weren’t for my great customers.
